Share the Journey

“Small gestures . . . with the fire of love . . . can do extraordinary things.”

~ Pope Francis

Pope Francis recently announced the beginning of a two-year campaign called “Share the Journey,” which calls all believers to embrace migrants and refugees with “arms wide open.”

On September 27, 2017, Pope Francis addressed the faithful at St. Peter’s Square, with hundreds of migrants and refugees in the audience, calling all to share the journey with those most in need. The joint effort between Migration and Refugee Services, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Relief Services is more than just a program or a title, but, as Pope Francis calls it, “a way of life.” He hopes all will be motivated to seek the truth about the current refugee crisis and most importantly take the time to actually meet a migrant or refugee in person.
