CRS Rice Bowl Lent 2026 Week #5

CRS Rice Bowl – Week 5: Seeing Christ in Our Global ʻOhana

As we move closer to Easter, this week’s reflection from CRS Rice Bowl invites us to open our eyes and hearts to the dignity of every person—near and far.

Families in Ghana, Guatemala and Timor-Leste share stories of resilience and hope as they work toward healthier futures for their children through improved nutrition and community support. Their journeys remind us that even across oceans, we are connected as one global ʻohana. 🌎

Here in Hawaiʻi, we understand the importance of caring for one another and living with aloha. During Lent, our prayers, fasting and almsgiving become ways we stand in solidarity with sisters and brothers around the world.

This week, we are invited to reflect:
How do we recognize Christ in others—especially those most in need?
How can our small acts of generosity become signs of hope for the wider world?

May this Lenten season continue to deepen our compassion and strengthen our commitment to walk together in faith, love and service. 🤍
